Green Motion Vehicle Rental exhibits at the first Low Carbon Technology Vehicle Exhibition

20th July 2007

On 20th July 2007, Leeds City Council and Cenex - the Centre for Excellence and Low Carbon Fuel Cell Technologies - staged its first exhibition in an effort to raise the profile of green motoring.

Green Motion was invited to participate in the event, which  allowed them the opportunity to gain valuable market feedback on the demand and requirements for green/environmentally friendly vehicle rental prior to the company's launch.  Richard Lowden, Green Motion's founder and managing director, said 'we were delighted to be invited to work with Cenex and Leeds City Council - the event proved extremely valuable as it allowed us to test the demand for green vehicle hire.'

The home of Leeds City football club - Elan Road - played host to the event which was attended by industry professionals and procurement officers including Tesco, Yorkshire Building Society, Newcastle University and Leisure Link, all of who are committed to reducing the carbon footprint associated to their transport needs.  Richard expressed 'it was good to see so many companies and organisations are genuinely committed to playing their part in reducing the effects of global climate change.'
