Sustainability Show 2007 - O2 arena

26th - 28th October 2007

The UK's first ever Sustainability Show, sponsored by BMW and The Times newspaper, was held at the O2 arena (former Millennium Dome) on 26th, 27th and 28th October 2007. The exhibition was to allow business, commerce, industry and government to excite and involve the general public and companies in policies and ideas vital to the sustainability of our environment and lifestyles.

The show was extremely diverse, covering areas including earth and energy, travel and communications and health and well being and played host to over 60 green focussed exhibitors.

Green Motion Vehicle Rental was invited to exhibit at the show promoting its green vehicle rental strategy and took a position adjacent to the headline sponsors BMW. The exhibition received much attention with tens of thousands of visitors visiting the O2 arena over the three days of the show.

A key and privileged moment for Green Motion Vehicle Rental was the arrival of the world famous environmentalist and TV personality, David Bellamy. Richard Lowden said 'I was delighted to welcome David onto our stand and to be given the opportunity to present our company's vision to give customers the choice to hire green vehicles.'

David Bellamy works closely with the Tree Appeal and Trees for Schools which is playing a vital part in educating future generations on the effects of climate change and how we can all play our part in reducing CO2 emissions and improving the environment in which we live.

Green Motion received a lot of positive attention and a great amount of interest in its vehicle rental franchise system. The self-confessed eco warrior Alexandra Boyd and accomplished business author and guru, Alex McMillan, also took time out to visit Green Motion, wishing the company every success in pioneering environmentally friendly vehicle rental.

Sustainability Show 2007 - O2 Arena
