Green Car Hire arrives in London.

Today the Capital saw the arrival of its first green vehicle rental company. The environmentally friendly vehicle rental company, Green Motion, has opened its first London location in Palmers Green.

Richard Lowden, the Managing Director of Green Motion, officially welcomed franchise owners Tasleem Akhtar and Javed Hadayat to the network. Richard said 'bringing green vehicle hire to London is an exciting development for Green Motion. The team here at Palmers Green has worked incredibly hard in establishing the business and I have no doubt that it will be a resounding success.'

Richard went on to say 'demand for environmentally friendly vehicles to rent is showing a month on month increase with local Government, companies and private individuals all demonstrating their commitment to contribute towards the reduction in CO2 emissions.'

Tasleem, the store's manager, said 'the global climate change is the most serious issue to face mankind and it is important that we all play an active part in minimising our carbon footprint. Here at Green Motion Palmers Green, as well as providing a green rental service, we proactively look to educate our customers on all things green including green and energy saving ideas.'

Palmer Green's fleet includes models from Citroen, including their Stop and Start systems, and the Bluemotion range from Volkswagen including the Polo which at present is the only band A vehicle available with a CO2 of sub 100g/km.
