GREEN MOTION –RENTAL COMPANY OF THE YEAR 2009

Last night the Guild Hall, London, played host to the annual Green Fleet Awards sponsored by Green Fleet magazine. Following its nomination, Green Motion was awarded the coveted title of Rental Company of the year 2009, beating Enterprise (last year’s winner) and Hertz Rentacar.

Founder and Managing Director of Green Motion, Richard Lowden, said ‘this is a milestone for Green Motion and is well deserved recognition of the hard work invested by the head office team and its expanding national network to create and build Europe’s only environmentally focussed vehicle rental company.’

Lowden went on to say ‘I would also like to thank the motor manufacturers and our funding partners, including Volkswagen, Toyota, Lexus, Citroen, Renault and Mercedes, for their support.’

Green Motion, launched in September 2007, has also recently celebrated its second anniversary and has delivered on its promise to continually reduce the CO2 emissions of its fleet, with the average level currently standing at 107g/km which is over 50g/km lower than its nearest national rental rival.
